Parenting Workshop: Communicating with your child. 3:30pm, East Marietta Library. Parenting communication educator, Julienne Marks, shares an overview of two parenting programs, “How to Talk So Kids Will Listen and Listen So Kids Will Talk,”™ and “Siblings Without Rivalry,”™ developed by Adele Faber and Elaine Mazlish. Summer Solstice Celebration. 4pm. Laurel Park. Hosted by Lazure Learning Village. Join us for an afternoon of crafts, yoga, stories, and fun in the sun! Includes sun salutation yoga session for kids, summer storytime with Mrs. Nikole, sun crafts, snacks, bubble making station, and more!

Marietta Square Farmers Market. 10am – 1pm, year round. Marietta Square.
Michaels Kids’ Club. 10am, 10:30, 11, 11:30. All Michaels locations. Drop in and create a craft (themes vary by week). $2 for 30 minutes + supplies. Recommended age: 3+. This week’s theme: DIY Paper Fans.
Jitterbug Performing Arts. In addition to their ongoing classes, Jitterbug offers several drop in classes per week. This Saturday’s schedule is:
10am – Storytime (Interactive storytelling for ages 18 months+) $5
11am – Princess Training (Flux classes are for those potty trained – 8 years old) $15
Drop-In Art Classes at Vinings School of Art. Time varies, see below. $15/hour, all supplies included.
Toddler/Pre-K: 10am – 11am
Younger Child (5-7): 11am – noon
Older Child (6 – 10): 10am – 11am
Older Child (7 – 12): 11am – noon
Free Junior Chef Classes at Williams-Sonoma. The Avenue at East Cobb. 10am. Theme – Zoku fun. Ages 5-13.
Barnes & Noble Storytime. 11am. Cumberland location. Book:
Family Storytime. 2:30pm, Smyrna Public Library. These 30 minute thematic story times include stories, songs, and a related craft activity. Bring the whole family.
