White Water 9th Annual Duck Derby. 2pm. Six Flags White Water, Marietta. Six Flags White Water has teamed up with Georgia Special Olympics. For a donation of $5 or more, a lucky prize number will be assigned to a yellow rubber duck in your honor. All ducks will race against each other in the Little Hooch at 2:00 p.m. If your adopted duck is the first to cross the finish line, you win! Prizes given from 1st – 6th place, including an iPhone 5, jewelry, tablets, gift cards and more!

City of Kennesaw Parks & Recreation Department’s 10th annual Program Palooza. 10am – 1pm. Ben Robertson Community Center, 2753 Watts Drive, Kennesaw. Kennesaw families should plan on attending this safari-themed open house party where you can learn about all of the new and exciting recreation activities that will be offered this fall: including sports, dance and fitness programs to arts & crafts and adult enrichment classes. Facility tours, activity information stations, interactive demonstrations, a “Lion’s Den” game room, and character entertainment. Healthy concessions will be served from the “Snack Shack” (while supplies last).

Friends of Smyrna Library Ice Cream Social and Book Sale. 2pm – 4pm. Smyrna Public Library. FOSL want to thank you for supporting the Friends and the Smyrna Library. Stop by for free ice cream and a “Make & Take” ice cream craft. FOSL will also have used books for sale and their signature book totes for sale.

Monkey Joe’s National Ice Cream Day. 10am. 50 Barrett Pkwy. Suite 111 Marietta. Monkey Joe’s is hosting a customer appreciation event for National Ice Cream Day on Sunday, July 20. Participating locations will be offering discounted admission of $7 and free ice cream cups to kids! There will also be prizes and giveaways throughout the day.
