This blog was created for and about parents in Smyrna and the surrounding areas. It’s a resource for playing, shopping, dining, creating, meeting, surviving, and celebrating.
Looking for things to do with your family this weekend? We’ll post the local events each Friday. Want a North Georgia family-friendly venue reviewed before you strap the kids into the car for over an hour? Let us know and we’re on it. Need to know when Santa is coming to town for photos? It’ll be posted here. Interested in chiropractic care for your toddler, but aren’t fully sold? We can post your questions to our Facebook page to get experiences and opinions from our network of local parents. We are our own greatest knowledge resource. And speaking of resources, check the resource tab frequently – I’ll be updating it based on your needs and questions, so please let us know what categories you’d like added.
Now, a bit about what this isn’t. This isn’t “The Taylor Family Does Smyrna.” To keep it from becoming that kind of blog, I’ll be adding some regular and guest contributors over the upcoming months so this truly represents a cross-section of experiences and opinions. If you like what you’re seeing and are interested in becoming a contributor, please contact me via the “Write for Smyrna Parent” link under the “Work With Us” tab.
Finally, to paraphrase the words of Mrs. Truvy Jones, “I’m a franchise!” I have some friends doing the same in their communities – all listed below. So if you have friends in those areas, please send them over.
Thanks for stopping by.
