Chalktober Fest, Marietta Square, 10am – 5pm, Concert from 7pm – 9pm
The 2015 Marietta Chalktoberfest features 45+ professional chalk artists creating patriotic works of art on the streets of historic Marietta Square. Additionally, there will be a craft beer festival, competition chalk section, concerts on the Square and much more on Saturday. On Sunday there will be a Kids on the Block activities and an Antique Car Show in addition to the professional chalk.
Admission: The general festival is free. Beer Festival tickets will go on sale August 1 – $35 for the first 500 tickets, $45 for the second 500 tickets and $50 at the door. Over 100 craft beers will be available for tasting.

Rev Fest: Fall 2015, Rev Coffee, Smyrna, 10am – 8pm
Rev Fest is a one-day music and arts festival held twice a year that features local artists and musicians. The motivation behind Rev Fest is a merging of artists, musicians, and businesses in the Smyrna, and surrounding community. Our hope is to provide a venue for local artists to display and sell their talents and passions while at the same time inviting the community to observe and enjoy in a comfortable and entertaining environment.
Admission: Free

Barkfest, Town Center at Cobb, 10am – 4pm
(Grassy area next to the Varsity)
Get your dog in on all this festival fun. Enjoy dog costume contest, silly dog trick contest, an agility course and protection demo, Police K-9 demonstrations and more.

9-12 Year Old Book Club, Switzer Library, 1pm – 2pm
The second book club meeting of the school year will discuss “Tuesdays at the Castle” by Jessica Day George. We will spend time discussing the story and have an activity  related to the story. Come prepared to suggest a title for the group to read in the future! Light snacks will be available.

Fall-O-Ween Fest & Outdoor Movie, Swift-Cantrell Park, Kennesaw, 5pm
For one night only, Swift-Cantrell Park will be transformed into “Spook-Central Park,” the Fall-O-Ween capital of Kennesaw. Come dressed in your best Halloween digs and showcase your cool moves during a Monster Mash Dance Party from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded. Activities will also include inflatables and amusements, carnival games, kid’s crafts, and a Trick-or-Treat Trail. The animated feature How to Train Your Dragon 2 (Rated PG) will be projected onto a giant inflatable screen after sundown.

Smyrna Fresh Produce Market. As a reminder, the Produce Market is closed for the season and will reopen next spring.

Marietta Square Farmers Market. 10am – 1pm, year round. Marietta Square.

Michaels Kids’ Club. 10am, 10:30, 11, 11:30. All Michaels locations. Drop in and create a craft (themes vary by week). $2 for 30 minutes + supplies. Recommended age: 3+. This week’s theme: Perler Frankenstein

Jitterbug Performing Arts. In addition to their ongoing classes, Jitterbug offers several drop in classes per week. This Saturday’s schedule is:
10am – Follow the Leader (Caterpillar Classes are for 6 months – potty trained) $12
11am – Broadway Bound (Flux classes are for those potty trained – 8 years old) $15

Free Junior Chef Classes at Williams-Sonoma. The Avenue at East Cobb. 10am. Theme – Baking with Pumpkin. Ages 5-13.

Barnes & Noble Storytime. 11am. Cumberland location. Book & Activities: Pete the Cat and the Bedtime Blues.

Family Fun at the Pumpkin Patch, Smyrna First UMC, 12pm – 2pm
Our Youth Ministry will be hosting an afternoon of carnival games, pumpkin sales, face painting, and more! Families, come join the fun on from 12 to 2 PM.

Boxerstock 2015 Music Festival, Jim Miller Park, 12pm – 6pm
Atlanta Boxer Rescue and presenting sponsors Paces Ferry Veterinary Clinic and Unleashed by Petco are hosting the eighth-annual Boxerstock music festival. Boxerstock 2015 will be the biggest, best yet. Enjoy a full day of music with breaks for dog costume contests and demos. There is a Kids Village as well as food trucks, vendor booths and a silent auction.
Admission: Adult $10; Child 12-18 $5; 11 and under are free. Your ticket grants you access to an entire day of music and family fun from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm. All proceeds will benefit Atlanta Boxer Rescue.
