Kid’s Kingdom Consignment Ministry. 9 am – 6 pm. Orange Hill Baptist Church. 4293 Austell Road, Austell.
“Kids Kingdom is a high quality, well organized children’s consignment ministry featuring children and teen clothing, baby items and equipment, toys, DVDs, baby furniture, books and educational items, maternity, and much more. We offer name brand clothing from well known brands such as Justice, Gap, Gymboree, Limited Too and have developed a reputation for allowing only quality, stain free items at a fraction of the original cost. Our sale is held semi-annually with up to 175 sellers. Kids Kingdom proceeds benefit ministries within the church and in our community as well as missions worldwide.”

Back to the Beanstalk. 7:30pm. Young Actors Playhouse. When Jack’s village is over-run with rats and mice, Jack and his mother have no choice but to sell his beloved cow to pay the Piper. After being tricked into trading away his cow for beans, Jack goes on an adventure of a lifetime. Discover what Jack learns when he goes Back to the Beanstalk!”

Moms In Training Kicks Off! 9 am, Smyrna Market Village. This 8-week “bootcamp” style training program and fundraiser to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society begins this week! Check out our post for more info and register ASAP.

The Marietta “MUTTropolitan Pet Fashion Show”. 2-6pm. Exhibit Halls A and B at Jim Miller Park, 2245 Calloway Road.  Enjoy this adorable runway show, featuring some awesome pups, to benefit the Cobb Animal Control shelter, Ahimsa House (a nonprofit organization that helps shelter people and pets who had to flee their homes because of domestic violence), and PAWSitive Supporters (a nonprofit group who offers to spay and neuter pets in low income areas of Cobb.) In addition to the puppy fashion show, there will also be pet-related vendors, entertainment, light food and beverages and a silent auction, all benefiting the shelter and two nonprofit organizations. Animal Control staff will also bring dogs who are available for adoption and collect unexpired, unopened dog or cat food to donate to a local pet food bank.
