Weekend Fun, April 25 – 27


Friday

Family Fun Friday at Legacy Golf Links. 4:30 – 8pm. 1825 Windy Hill Road. Smyrna. There will be games for kids and kids at heart . Activities will include family golf, GolfZilla, launch monitor challenges, Break The Glass Game, Kwik Golf, putting contests, Jumpy Jumps & more. We will also have food & drinks as well as raffle prizes. All activities for this kickoff event will be FREE of charge for everyone.

Saturday

Jonquil City Jog 5K. 8:00 am. Smyrna City Hall. Participants run (or walk) for fun, education, and PIE at this annual race for education held in downtown Smyrna. Proceeds benefit the Campbell High School Educational Foundation, Inc. Race is a Peachtree qualifier. Tot Trot at 9:15. Register at Active.com.

Spring Jonquil Festival. 10am – 6pm. Smyrna Village Green. Over 175 hand-made arts & crafts booths, local non-profits, sponsors, puppet shows, live music, plenty of festival foods, and all types of children’s activities. We will also have local entertainment on the stage in front of the library. Friends of the Smyrna Library will have their book sale during the Spring Jonquil festival, so plan to get some phenomenal deals on all types of books imaginable.

Atkins Park 12th Annual Crawfish Boil. 1:30pm – til. Smyrna Market Village. Crawfish and live music in conjunction with the Spring Jonquil Festival.

Michaels Kids’ Club. 10am, 10:30, 11, 11:30. All Michaels locations. This week’s craft: Mothers Day Heart Frame.

Marietta Square Farmers Market & Artists Market. 10am – 1pm.

Barnes & Noble Storytime. 11am. Cumberland location.

 

Sunday

Taste of Marietta. 11am – 7pm. Marietta Square. Features over eighty restaurants and caterers showcasing their best food. Tastes range in price from just $0.50 to $5.00. In addition, there are five live music stages and a sunset concert on the Main Stage in Glover Park. The event also features games for the kids in the Kid’s Alley, a sports corner as well as a cooking stage with celebrity chefs’ cooking demonstrations. The Taste of Marietta takes place rain or shine, and admission is free.
