Friday

Taylor-Brawner Park with Art. 12pm – 7pm. Taylor-Brawner House. (Smyrna). A free fine art exhibit, featuring all original artwork from 14 award winning regional artists. Come to admire or purchase.  Each day a different artist will be in attendance to demonstrate their craft and answer your questions. Bring the family!

Lent Family Fish Fry Dinner. 5:30pm – 7:30pm. St Joseph Catholic Church, Lacey Street (Marietta). Tickets available at Marist Hall every Friday during Lent except Good Friday. Adults/$9, Children 3 – 12/$5, Children under 3/Free. Maximum for the Family – $25 (2 adults & 3 or more Children).

Marietta Easter Egg Scramble. 6:30pm. Laurel Park, 151 Manning Rd. (Marietta). Marietta’s Parks, Recreation and Facilities Easter Egg Scramble will take place Laurel Park. The Easter Bunny will be available for photos after the Egg Scramble. Arrive early to find parking and your child’s correct age group.

Smyrna Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt & Movie by Moonlight. 7:00pm – 9:30pm. Tolleson Park, 3515 McCauley Road (Smyrna). A new twist to a beloved holiday tradition. Children up to age 10 years are encouraged to bring a flashlight and Easter basket to the hunt. Children will be divided into age groups  Youngest age group (children 5 years and younger) begins their hunt at 7:30 p.m. Children age 6 to 10 years begin their hunt at approximately 8:00 p.m. Immediately following the hunt everyone is invited to stay and watch the Disney full length feature film “Frozen”. Advanced registration $5/family or $10/family at the gate.

Saturday

Cobb Cyclones Cheerleading Tryouts. 10am. Smyrna Community Center. Auditions for this competition team are open to boys and girls ages 7 – 14. $10 tryout fee. No experience necessary.

Kennesaw Big Shanty Festival. 10am – 6pm. Downtown Kennesaw near the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History. The festival features over 200 arts and crafts booths, 20 food booths, and 20 general booth spaces, and admission is FREE. There are two entertainment stages, all types of children’s activities, and plenty of festival foods. The Big Shanty Festival will begin with a parade through downtown Kennesaw at 9:30 on Saturday morning, April 12th.

Michaels Kids’ Club. 10am, 10:30, 11, 11:30. All Michaels locations. This week’s craft: Easter craft.

Marietta Square Farmers Market & Artists Market. 10am – 1pm.

Michael Family Chiropractic Grand Opening and Spring Festival. 11am – 3pm. Creatwood Plaza. 3246 Atlanta Rd. (Smyrna). Enjoy inflatables, face painting, free BBQ & Pie, music, The Reptile Man and FREE spinal & nerve scans.

Barnes & Noble Storytime. 11am. Cumberland location.

Taste of West Cobb. 11am – 5pm. Hillgrove High School-Luther Ward Rd. (Powder Springs). Expanded space for restaurants, kids activities, and entertainment. Tickets can be purchased the day of the event, or in advance through a Hillgrove Band student. More information available here.

Sewell Mill Baptist Church Easter Egg Hunt. 11am – 2pm. 2550 Sewell Mill Rd. (Marietta). Come out and enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt for children of all ages through 5th grade.  With crafts, games, a cake walk and a silent auction, all proceeds will benefit the missionaries SMBC supports in six different countries.  Lunch is $5 per plate or a maximum of $15 per family, and there will be separate egg hunts for children of different ages. Contact Sasha Watson at sasha.watson@sewellmill.org or call 770-971-2636.

Spring (into health) Fair. 12pm – 4pm. 1360 Powers Ferry Business Park. (Marietta). Help shine a light on autism while enjoying food, fun, music, crafts, games, give-a-ways, community vendors, and health screening opportunities for the whole family. Leashed pets are welcome. Admission is $5/individual or $10/family (or a donation of any amount can be made to support autism research as your ticket in). Admission includes free water, popcorn/snow cone & hotdog or hamburger.

Easter Eggstravaganza at Delmar Gardens. 1pm – 3pm. 404 King Springs Village Parkway (Smyrna). This event is free and open to the public. Activities will include egg hunts for all ages, pony rides, jumpers, games, face painting, food, cotton candy, popcorn and more! RSVP to ametcalf@delmargardens.com

Simon Kidgits Kids Club Hop Into Spring. 1pm – 3pm. Town Center at Cobb, lower level Belk wing. Welcome spring with seasonal activities and giveaways. DJ Steve will be on hand with music and games, and the Easter Bunny will make a special appearance. Kids who wear their Kidgits t-shirt will even receive a special prize. Free for members, $5 for non-members (covers a full year’s membership).

 

Sunday

Caring Bunny at Town Center at Cobb. 9:30am – 12pm. Lower level, Belk wing. Caring Bunny provides a subdued and welcoming environment for special needs children and their families to visit the Easter Bunny.

Kennesaw Youth Football & Cheer Free Clinics. 1pm. Kennesaw Mountain High School’s Football Stadium. Learn the fundamentals of football and cheer in a fun, family environment
Ages 4 thru 12.

Vinings United Methodist Church Easter Eggstravaganza. 2pm. This event is free and open to the public. There will be a lot of springtime fun, including grilled hamburgers, hot dogs and all the fixings, games, face painting and inflatables.  And of course there will be egg hunts and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny.
