Friday

City of Kennesaw’s Pigs & Peaches BBQ Festival. 6pm – 10pm. Adams Park, 2753 Watts Drive, Kennesaw. Experience the mouth-watering aroma and delicious taste of smoke-cooked barbecue, savor every heavenly bite of sweet peach desserts, and take delight in every moment of fun at the City of Kennesaw’s Pigs & Peaches BBQ Festival. It features multiple cook-offs and contests, with over $16,000 in cash and prizes awarded to contest winners. Enjoy live music and family entertainment, a Kid Zone featuring inflatables, interactive games and other child-friendly activities, food and beverage vendors, and a street festival atmosphere of arts, crafts and general merchandise — including a selection of sponsor booths with unique products and services.

Cobb County Rodeo at Jim Miller Park. Beginning at 8pm the fun will last about two hours each night. Admission at the gate is $15 for adults and $12 for children (ages three and under are admitted free). A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Cobb County Sheriff Mounted Patrol Unit. Bull riding, bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, tie down roping and barrel racing.

Glover Park Concert Series. 8pm. Rain or Shine. Enjoy this free outdoor concert at Marietta Square. Be sure to bring a picnic and blankets or set up your lawn chairs after 4pm (no tarps or tents). Band: John King Band – Country.

 

Saturday

Smyrna Fresh Produce Market. 8am – 12pm. Smyrna First Baptist (Market Village).

Marietta Square Farmers Market. 9am – 12pm. Marietta Square.

Michaels Kids’ Club. 10am, 10:30, 11, 11:30. All Michaels locations.

Barnes & Noble Storytime. 11am. Akers Mill location.

Movie by Moonlight at Taylor Brawner Park. Movie will start at dusk (approximately 8:15). Bring a blanket and friends. Movie: Planes.
